Brexit blues?
How are feeling about Brexit? Are you a Remainer, a Brexiteer or have you changed your mind? Would you support another referendum? Do you understand the jargon? A hard Irish border, a Customs Union and the like. Do you have a plan of your own? And are you like many in the UK, fed up and tired of it all, worried or perplexed, or confident about life after Brexit if we leave with no deal?
Whatever political stance you take we can all unite in prayer for our political leaders of every hue and those who are seeking a way forward both for us here and in Europe.
These are critical times, the like of it many of even my generation have not understood or experienced.
What we all know however and what we know to be true, is that we need to be praying for the way forward and for our leaders. Surely we need to be confidently praying that they may find a way of agreeing to a plan which, compromised or not, can be agreed upon.
Let’s go for it, individually and together, meeting at Sanctuary, being at the half night of prayer, encouraging other Christians we know and roping other churches in.
We don’t need a strap line but we do need to pray!
