What is The Chosen?
The Chosen television series has gained wide appeal and acclaim for its portrait of the life of Jesus. Here at St Johns, we would like to offer you the opportunity to come along and watch season one of the series within a small group setting. We will watch each episode over an evening with tea, coffee and snacks and then hold a discussion in small groups afterwards, exploring some of the themes and characters that come alive in the episode. Anyone is welcome to join but especially those who are seeking or new to the Christian faith. Do consider coming along, or perhaps inviting a friend who you think might enjoy learning more about the life of Jesus.
Who is it for?
People come to The Chosen for many reasons. Some want to investigate whether God exists, others simply have questions about life they would like to discuss. Many guests have never been to church and others may have attended church but feel they have never had a personal understanding of the Christian faith. Ultimately anyone is welcome at The Chosen, it doesn’t matter where you are starting from!
“The Chosen has brought the characters of the Bible and the stories to life in a way that has helped me to understand the story of God’s love in a deeper way. It has been a safe place to ask questions and wrestle with the things in the Bible. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has questions or is seeking to deepen their faith.”
