Global Aid Network (GAiN)

Since the start of the Russian invasion, one-third of Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes. This is now the largest human displacement crisis in the world today. Some 8 million people have fled areas of fighting to safer places within Ukraine and 13 million people are still thought to be stranded in affected areas.

We at Global Aid Network (GAiN) continue to send much needed aid to those affected by this invasion.

In response to this crisis, we have raised nearly £95,000 and as a result we have been able to serve together with the worldwide GAiN Offices to send 151 transports to Ukraine and surrounding countries, providing relief to more than 500,000 people. From the UK we have sent transports of sleeping bags, hygiene supplies, glasses and hospital beds.

Food continues to be the pressing need on the ground and we are planning to continue to send more transports of food in the weeks ahead. Please pray that we will be able to accomplish this.

Distributing aid in Ukraine

Over the last two years, we’ve felt extremely blessed at how our network has grown.  We’ve expanded from one shipping container to two, and then a temporary building space.  This combined with staff and volunteer growth has enabled us to respond to poverty and crisis situations even more quickly.

Ultimately, we need a permanent space to be able to continue our work at this pace and capacity level. To do this, we need a warehouse space in Birmingham to call home, so we can process more donations in a secure and weather-proof building, involve more volunteers in the UK and ultimately bring relief and hope to many more people.

Can I ask for prayer as we embark on this faith step of raising money to be able rent a warehouse, so we will be able to collect more donations, involve more people in social justice, send more relief aid and ultimately help more people in poverty and crisis?  Thank you for faithfully praying and giving to the work God has given me.
