Give the gift of a Shoebox this Christmas
Help support a family or elderly person with a shoebox filled with daily essentials.
St John’s are supporting Link to Hope who collect shoeboxes for families and the elderly across Eastern Europe. These shoeboxes are small acts of love for people who often don’t have access to running water, heating and electricity. We’d love to pack over 100 shoeboxes to send off to places such as Ukraine to support people in real need.
Ideas of what to include in a Shoebox:
Essentials
• Gloves, scarf or hat
• Sweets or Chocolate
• Soap and flannel
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Candles and Holders
• Small Games (Travel sized)
Packing Party - Tue 29 Oct • 10.30am - 12.30pm
If packing a whole shoebox is too much or you’d like to donate individual items instead or perhaps you’re a crafter and could knit or make items, we’re going to be having a packing party on Tuesday 29 October from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All are welcome to come with your items, empty shoeboxes and wrapping paper and we’ll have a cup of tea and pack our boxes together!
