A.W.B.P! (Absent with Bishop's Permission)
With the Bishop’s blessing and the encouragement of the Wardens, I am going to have some extended study leave early next year (which will follow on from a holiday with Alison in January to celebrate a significant wedding anniversary). During this time, I hope to be in touch with other church leaders, read, reflect and pray in particular about the next part of St John’s journey, as we prepare to return to our building and then look to church plant.
My last Sunday before going on leave will be 19 January 2020, and it will finish after Sunday 1 March 2020. For the duration of this extended study leave, I will not be available for day to day matters, all of which should go via Jon Tattersall, Steve Foster and the rest of the Staff Team, with Ruth Downing and Rich Lovell providing Warden back up.
Please do pray for myself and Alison that our time away would be refreshing, and that during this extended study leave, the Lord would speak into my life as I seek Him with regard to St John’s future.
