A Very Unexpected Christmas
Beryl Beavis sends us this story as a way of encouragement that God works in mysterious ways and uses even the tiniest bit of talent when it is used for his purposes…
‘Not being an artist I decided to enter the art competition at Pinner Court. It was a God given picture but how to get it from head to paper. Being a bit of a hoarder I had brought with me an old tin of water colour paints (a bit jaded after 40 or so years of children's artistry!) some felt tip pens (left overs from Brownie celebrations of 2012) and an assortment of pencils of dubious ancestry. These together with a tin of almost white paint recently bought as touch up in my 'new' bathroom, a paint brush that had seen better days and A4 computer paper provided my tools.
I had been asking God why I was here - the answer was that at least the judges would see the Christmas message.
Imagine my surprise when I came first and the picture was printed in the resident's news sheet and so the message of Christmas has gone into each apartment!’
God bless and have a good Christmas,
Beryl Beavis
