Married and Missing Out?

If you are married and never been on a Marriage Course you are probably missing out.

We (Dave & Kay Schofield) have always had an OK/”good” marriage. After 20 years of marriage we went on a Marriage Course and realised that we had been missing out. Since then we have been on another Marriage Course as well as attending marriage seminars. Each time we have learnt something new which has equipped us for challenging situations that have come our way.

Being married means tackling new situations together. In our married life there have been many changes & challenges. For us some of these have been

  • New jobs

  • Birth of children (and miscarriages)

  • Teenage years

  • Death of a brother

  • Redundancy

  • Illness

  • Major accident, Hospitalisation and slow recovery

  • Retirement

  • Ageing

  • Caring for parents (and death).

In all of these we have needed to communicate and work well together. It's not always easy but having tools really helps. You never know what may happen.

The Marriage Course is a safe environment where communication can re-established, built up (or maybe in some areas be established for the first time). We learn new things every time we do it.

Marriage is not all about challenges and difficulties. It is also about making time to enjoy life together and having some fun and laughter.

Attending the Marriage Course is a great way of tuning up your marriage and making it better.

On the last course we had fantastic feedback. Here is just one comment: “Having the Marriage Course has brought us together more, talking about taboo subjects and resolving conflict. It's been brilliant.”

We would love you to come and not be missing out.
