Christian Music Ministries (CMM)

Back to the old normal for CMM at last and looks as if Roger Jones, his assistant Annie Routley and their motley teams of Associates, office staff, regular volunteers, helpers, and even the occasional work experience student will be fully employed once more. It’s so good to have your support and prayers.

Praise the Lord with us for

•    A full diary of events for 2023, with more already planned for the future.

•    Music Weeks coming up throughout the year, including Saints Alive! in Cumbria, and North Yorkshire, Wildfire in North Wales and Two Sisters and a Funeral in North Norfolk

•    Musical in a day events include Apostle in Cheltenham, Pharisee in Watford, and Jerusalem Joy  at Cricklade and Bromsgrove.

•    Further events based on other training books, song collections or materials aimed at resourcing local fellowships

•    A new venture as Roger takes part in the  Appledore Music Festival, hopeful this may develop in future years.

•    The opportunities to share the love and power of the Lord

•    The CMM Choir, meeting to rehearse and have fellowship as they  share God’s love (and currently bringing Three Wise Camels to local churches,, including Harborne Baptist
Church on Saturday 11 Feb at 18:00)

Meanwhile, when is another new musical going to appear (if at all)?) Roger and I have been discussing a possible subject for a while, but the time didn’t seem right. In addition, recording studios are expensive, while downloads and similar bring little revenue compared with CDs. But after some years of Roger “trying not to write a musical” it seems we may be tentatively starting one.

Please pray for

•    God’s leading as we start to try to tell the story he wants to use

•    An openness to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in planning and leading other events

•    For good relationships between all leading and participating

•    That enriched lives will spill over to enrich, family, friends and fellowships

•    For safety in travel as teams journey around the country, possibly returning late in the evening

•    For wisdom in making decisions about future projects, which ones should go ahead, and how

•    For wise use of resources, of energy and for good health.

Once again, thanks for your prayers and encouragement — they mean such a lot!
