Resurrection Church Beirut

Despite the ongoing crisis in Lebanon and the Middle East, Resurrection Church Beirut is still serving its community. Our 44 congregations are expanding, and the pastors in Lebanon are doing a fantastic job in providing people with holistic care and making disciples in a variety of contexts. The services are held in Arabic, Kurdish, and Armenian, and they take place in 13 different locations every week. Our senior pastor, Hikmat Kashouh, trains and mentors all the pastors, who are indigenous leaders. Every spiritual congregation is different and distinctive in the way they study the Bible and lead worship. Since Christ unites us all, we are witnessing a growing number of people turn to Him, accept His invitation to baptism, and give their life to Him.

There is a great thirst, and a large number of people from all walks of life are open to hearing the good news and seeking the Lord. The hard times provide the ideal environment for our Lord to work!

We keep preparing leaders so that the ministry can advance and expand.

Please offer up prayers for the new opportunities we are experiencing, especially with the influential and powerful people in the nation, so that we can impact the country and be the light and salt of Lebanon.

The Syrian refugees in Lebanon are not in a good situation. Since 2011, they have been traveling to Lebanon in search of safety; however, they are legally unable to integrate and become citizens of Lebanon so they will always be visitors.

Syrians, who typically travel by foot or on motorbikes, are frequently stopped by the local government on the street and asked for their documentation. And a lot of them are forcibly returned to houses that they either lost or had demolished. Please join us in prayer that the government finds a more humane way to resolve this incredibly unfair situation, and that a better solution is found for our friends and believers.

Numerous threats of a potential war and escalation in Lebanon have been heard and seen. There are still casualties from the ongoing conflict in the country's south every day. More than 90,000 people have moved away from the border to seek home in Beirut and other cities. RCB has been able to help families in this difficult time by providing shelter, food and basic care.

Please ask the Lord to grant us peace, wisdom, and the ability to be genuine messengers to those who have given up on life. Offer up prayers for the nation as a whole, as it is going through one of its worst periods in its history.

We have the great privilege of seeing the Gospel flourish since the Lord is still at work!
