'...a conversation about heaven...'
God has been using our English classes to serve our community of Alperton, in London. We have had three classes this past year and we’ve seen our number vary, depending on the time of the year, but we have had some regular faithful students, who have found our classes very helpful compared to the other English classes in the area.
Classes started again in September, but we need a new teacher for the beginners’ class. Please join us in praying for a new teacher- we have several grandmothers coming to this class, some travelling an hour by bus just to come.
Pray too, as we interact with our students, that our light will shine and our words would communicate our message. Most of them are Hindus and a lot of them have never known anything other than what they grew up with. Last week I had a conversation about heaven with one of my students but it’s hard for her to understand the idea of heaven. Pray for wisdom, and the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts.
Pray for me too as my mother has been in hospital since 6 Jun with different complications stemming from infection. She is 86 years old and a believer but it’s very difficult being so far away when she is poorly. Pray for my siblings as they take care of her. It’s been exhausting and draining, physically and emotionally. Thank you for all your prayers.
