Healing on the Locked-down Streets

Since the lockdown began the healing on the streets ministry has had to pause, but members of the team have still been busy meeting on a Saturday evening via zoom to pray. During this time we have been praying particularly for protection for all those members of St Johns who we know to be involved directly or indirectly with the health services. It has been encouraging to seek the Lord and see him at work in this time, and humbling to realise just how many members of our community are involved (over 50). We have seen some answers to prayer and been challenged to persevere.

...we know that we have a message of hope, not fear and that we carry the peace of the Lord with us...

We miss the high street and the many conversations we have with passers by. We know that there are many people who appreciate the chance to stop, to pause and to pray. In this time it is hard to not be there, when we know that we have a message of hope, not fear and that we carry the peace of the Lord with us and love to bring that to those who do not have it! Even though we might not understand all that is happening, or where the Lord is working, we trust in him and ray that we will be able to continue this ministry soon.

Prayer Points

  • Where is God leading us in this next season?

  • To raise up people who have a desire to see God at work, and to step out in faith.

  • To hear clearly what the Lord is saying.

  • To continue to find ways to serve the community of Harborne, even if we can’t be out on the street.

  • To deepen our faith and expectation as a team.
