Food bags and food classes
Dear all at St John's,
Firstly, thank you for your generous donations towards the work of distributing food! We are so very grateful. Food continues to disappear quickly each week as we give it out in 'bag loads' and we continue to see amazing provision from God for all we are doing - the quantities in provision and distribution are really quite incredible. The most exciting part (for us) is the opportunity to pray for people every day. We hardly ever hand over a 'food bag' without a prayer, and have seen some beautiful answers to prayer along the way.
A bunch of folks from the food distribution are now following the six online church services through the week and some are coming to faith. It's exciting to see a bunch of new believers getting stuck into bible study, etc... we can't wait for them to try face-to-face church one day!
Cristina has recently started doing some Facebook-Live cooking videos to teach folks how to cook some simple and delicious meals for the family based on the ingredients you would get in a food bag. She's getting a bit of a following on the estate with folks messaging to say that they've never done homemade meals like this before and their kids love them. She always prays for viewers at the end of each video and that seems to go down well too!
St Johns, we couldn't do what we do without the active ministry of the Holy Spirit - so don't stop praying for us!
Pray that we'll not lose our passion to see each household that comes for a food bag saved.
Pray that we move in the power of the Spirit to heal, deliver, restore, set free.
Pray that we teach the word of God boldly and with anointing and more than anything, pray that more people are brought into his kingdom than we could have ever dreamed of!
For us personally, please pray that God will give us the energy to keep going and the wisdom and strategy we need for the 'next steps' forward.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Much love,
Nick and Cristina
