Plenty of Gearing Up
The various BRF ministries have continued to be busy as they have been throughout the pandemic. We have seen a large number of churches reshaping their Messy Churches and delivering 'Messy Church in a bag'. Plans are gearing up for the launch of Messy Church Goes Wild in 2022 encouraging people to meet God outdoors, love the natural world and to be more eco-aware in all we do, both inside and out, as gathered and dispersed church, for the good of the planet.
Anna Chaplaincy supporting those in the later years of life has been very busy during the pandemic. Some Chaplains have recorded services for care homes whilst other teams knitted crosses to send to residents and many other creative initiatives besides. Many of the Anna Chaplains are now able to visit care homes again and are being very well received after such a difficult time.
Our dynamic Parenting for Faith team have been leading online sessions supporting families during these challenging times. Their recent material sharing ideas for re-entering church has been very popular. Alongside they have launched a Babies and Toddler project supporting those in this season of life.
My work to develop the volunteering and networking aspects of the organisation is picking up pace. We are currently gathering a new team of Local Church Champions who share the work of BRF and its ministries in their local church.
Our living faith team are busy gearing up for the Autumn with online and in-person conferences and a wealth of printed and downloadable resources.
Alongside all of this BRF will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2022 so plans are well underway to mark the occasion.
We would value your prayers as we continually look to God to guide and shape all that we do.
