UCCF

Hello! My name is Poppy Lovell and for this academic year I am something called a relay worker with UCCF. UCCF is a charity that works with Christian Unions at universities around the UK with the vision to see every student in the UK have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a relay worker I am working alongside UCCF and Warwick Christian Union.

I meet one on one with students to encourage them and to read the bible with them. I also help with the weekly small group leader training, for all of the small group leaders in CU to help encourage and equip them to run great bible studies which are seeker friendly. I help with international café which the CU puts on each week. I am also at the CU’s main meetings every week, and the events days and week that the CU is putting on this year, all with the aim to share Jesus with students at Warwick. We have just had Graham Daniels from Christians in Sport come and speak about being a Christian in professional sport and where we put our identity as part of our last events day. I also have a study aspect to the program where I look at core theology and the Christian perspective on mental health.
